Give me 5 (Blog # 5)

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”              (Rom. 10:17).

GOD BLESS YOU!!!. Now you have “Given me 5” (five days that is). Thank you!.

If you are wandering why I sign“M”  at the end, it’s because my name is Marco…..If my name was Zorro, I would be signing “Z”.

Now let’s get to the point.

It is possible that you may have some questions from yesterday’s blog, if you do, please, contact us at: <ccclaremont.org>, but I can really tell you right now without hesitation or apology, that I absolutely believe what was said, for one simple reason: God said it in His word, and according to Jesus:  “Your word is truth” (John 17:17b), the psalmist also: “The entirety of Your word is truth” (Ps. 119:160a) and many other Scriptures that testify of the reliability and truthfulness of God’s word, because “he is a loving God and He will never lie to us. Satan does,  because he was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie he speaks from his  own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44).

You may still think: “You are insane”, “I think you’ve overdose on Bible”…..Well, that’s ok if you think I’m insane, there’s nothing better that going insane over God’s love and grace, and I hope you too will one day overdose on God’s love blog to you that you also will go insane about Jesus. The real problem is not that we overdose on Bible (See scripture above: Rom. 10:17), the real problem is that most of us are “underdosed” on Bible.

Let me ask you: Do you believe in God?. If you say yes, let me share this: “Even the demons believe, and tremble” (James 2:19b), so we need something better. We need to repent of our sin and receive Jesus as savior by faith in Him alone and start trusting in Him day by day. I think a good start will be to get a little  taste of the words preceeding the verse above. Please, go to Romans 10:8-17. This will do you good!!!

Look, all I’m doing is passing on to you the same thing I heard many years ago, and I can tell you it is worthy all of it. Think about it. ..honestly…..how can you decide all this unless you hear God’s side?. Read His blog to you and humbly (yes, humbly) ask Him to  show you the truth…..Sounds like a challenge?. Maybe, but it’s worth it.

 Hasta la vista.

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…..So God created man in His Own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them, then God blessed them…..” (Gen. 1:26a, 27, 28a)

Hi…  “g’day” to you there.

No, I’m not Australian but I like the way they say “good day”.

By  the way, there is one thing I didn’t tell you earlier, but you probably found out already: This Marco’s grammar is not that good (I know). Let  me explain: I was never formally educated in English. I was  born and raised in Cuba, came to the USA  when I was 25, and tried to do my best to study and learn English on my own while raising our family. Now you’ll say “well, you didn’t do a very good job”…..I know….. sorry!. But one thing is true: what you see (read) is what you get…..honestly…..this is me warts and all, without editing. And I hope this doesn’t turn you totally off, please…..not now, because it’s not my faults  and excuses  that I want  to present, but only what God has so graciously written to us from the start.

Now that you know , let’ get to business;  get focused and try to hit the target, because if you would trust what God said in Genesis 1, you’ll have no trouble in believing things like “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (JESUS) that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life, for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16; NIV)

The image of God that man was created to have and enjoy, was destroyed  the very instant that man disobeyed God and tried to become (a) god himself as he believed the lie of the devil, ate the forbidden  fruit and died spiritually. There was only one way to restore that image in man, and that was, by God the Son (JESUS, who is included in the “OUR” of Gen. 1:26-28) to come from heaven to earth and pay for our sin by dying on the cross, and be risen from the dead that all who would repent of their sin (rebellion against God), and believe in what Christ did, will be redeemed (restored to original) and live ( John 3:16,17,  John 14:6 etc.). That shows us what great value God has placed upon you. It cost the life of His Son. Why would anybody reject His gift of grace?. NOT YOU, I pray. From your heart mean this to God:  “Please, be merciful to me, a sinner. I repent of my sin, and receive Jesus as my Savior now.”. Please, let us know if you did this, we will thank you and send you  some good stuff  free for you to enjoy.

Catch U next time.

“Give me 5” (Blog # 3)

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God” ( John 1:1,2)

“That which as from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life…..we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; an truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:1,3)

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End” says the LORD, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8).

Good…..( morning,  afternoon,  evening).

So, where do we start looking into God’s Holy Word, as He “blogs” us with a heart so full of love and compassion?…..Well, what about with “The beginning” (not the big-inning like in baseball), but “beginning” like in Genesis 1:1.

Like  I said earlier, and very respectfully by the way, our desire is not to get into arguments, or discussions if you believe the account of Genesis or not…..we are here only to try to show you how much God loves you, and what He is blogging you about is that when He made you He did much more than “just make you”; He placed a great value in you, yes: you!!!  the one reading this.

Maybe you are now wondering: “what does Genesis 1:1 has to do with my worth to God?”. Please, keep reading,  and I will be praying that in the next few blogs you’ll find the answer, but for today, please, trust me in this:

God loves us so much that He created this world with you and me in mind, made us in His image, according to His likeness in the original creation (Genesis 1:26), and place us in it to run it. Isn’t that AWESOME!!!???. Just goes to show you how valuable we are to Him in His plan for us.

This gives me great hope. I hope it encourages you too.

 God bless…..C U later.

“Listen to Me, My people; and give ear to Me, o My nation: for the law will proceed from Me and I will make My justice rest as a light of the peoples.”   (Isa. 51:4)

Hello!!! Good morning (or afternoon, or evening…).

Thank you again for the privilege of your time.

I’ve been asking those who know: What is a “blog”?. You know, all this new on-line language stuff is Greek to me.

So, I’ve arrived to my own opinion:  It is not like a “dialogue”, but simply, one person telling another whatever is in his / her mind (a piece of it?)…hopefully, and more importantly it will be more like “what it in his / her heart”.

Then I thought(?): WOW!!! The Bible is God’s “blog” to us, where He tells us (without dialoguing in most cases) what is in His heart for you and me. This deserves another WOW!!! And He did this through people like us, who He lead to speak or write for Him (Inspiration), using their own personalities and situations. Then, WOW  of all WOWS!!! He speaks to us through His Son, who comes to Earth (JESUS) and speaks to us directly. (Heb. 1:1-3). And He did this at a great cost to Himself, which just goes to tell  us of His extreme love for you and me too. WOW!!! Again. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).

I don’t know about you…..but to know this truth and believe it is going to help me through today…..and I hope and pray it does you too. God loves you!.

C U again.

Hi, and welcome to Marco’s blog: “Give me five”

“I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1).

“Give me five”. As you know this is a kind of a popular thing that many do or say to celebrate winning a game or making an agreement or something like that. I like to teach it to little babies, and you’ll be surprised to see how fast they will be doing it too.

But what we really want to do here, is to ask you to graciously give us a few minutes of your precious time (less than five, I promise). Not to have another devotional to read (I hope). There are so many already, and many are really good!. What we want is simply that God may use this to speak and   encourage you (spirit, soul and body) with the power of His grace and fill you with the Holy Spirit to guide, direct, control your emotions, will, mind (Eph. 5:18) that you’ll present yourself totally, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God as your true act of worship each day, and thus be in His will, transformed completely from the inside-out, with a taste of His power, and the joy of pleasing Him.

So, I want to be honest and direct in our aim, without apology, but hoping to hit the target with you.

Thank you for so graciously “giving me five” today out of your busy schedule.

May “the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. The LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace” (Num. 6:24-26).
